After receiving his captaincy, Gaurav was called into the App Room and given a hard decision by Bigg Boss. He could keep his captaincy, and the house would only get 30% rations, with everyone nominated, or he could give the captaincy to Shehbaz Badesha, and the entire house would get their rations and not be nominated.
Gaurav chose to keep his captaincy, which started to make the housemates very angry. Many were upset and felt they were betrayed, calling his choice selfish and unfair. Only 30% of the groceries would remain in the house, and all housemates, including Gaurav, would remain nominated.
