Gold and silver prices in India were kept an eye on on Friday, September 25, as the fluctuations in international markets for precious metals were being monitored by the traders. As far as the rates in the retail market are concerned, then the rate for 24 carat gold comes out to be ₹1,51,580 per 10 grams, whereas 22 carat gold is approximately ₹1,38,948 per 10 grams. Talking about the 999 fineness silver, the price is approximately ₹2,34,040 per kilogram. It must be noted here that the prices may vary according to the city and the jeweler.
For example, considering the case of Delhi, then the 24 carat gold price would come out to be approximately ₹1,51,040 per 10 grams, while that of 22 carat gold would be ₹1,38,453. As far as 999 fineness silver is concerned, then the price in this case would be ₹2,33,220 per kilogram. Similarly, taking the case of Mumbai, then the price of 24 carat gold would be ₹1,51,300 per 10 grams, while that of 22 carat gold would be ₹1,38,692.
In Kolkata, the 24 karat gold price ranged about ₹1,51,100 for 10 grams, whereas 22 karat gold ranged around ₹1,38,508. Silver of 999 purity was priced around ₹2,33,310 per kg.
The gold prices still remain sensitive to the expected interest rates globally, currency movement, and geopolitical factors. On the contrary, the prices of silver are driven by both the investment and industrial usage.
