India had another successful day at the 2026 Asian Games as Day 12 brought a host of heavyweight performances in wrestling, archery, and shooting.

Wrestler Sunil Kumar continued to amass India’s medals as he won the first wrestling medal for India at the Games.

The day also belonged to India’s archers and shooters, who outdid themselves with a staggering four gold medals. Their efforts added to the medal tally in other disciplines, and reinforced India’s deepening dominance in precision sports.

Other Sports: The Indian contingent showed great resilience and composure under pressure in archery. The team’s results reflected the countless training and the big-stage experience that all the shooters had gained over the last few months. The shooting also yielded some special results, with Indian shooters impressively maintaining their reputation in the shooting ring.
