Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, extended his best wishes to all Indians on the fourth day of the Sharad Navratri festival. Millions of people celebrate the festival with utmost devotion, worshipping Goddess Durga for nine days with great religious and cultural significance.

The celebration honours the nine forms of the goddess, with each day devoted to a different spiritual significance. The fourth day of the festival is marked for Goddess Kushmanda, who, as per the beliefs, is worshipped by devotees for having created the universe using her divine power and her radiant smile. Devotees pray and worship the goddess and wish for good health, peace, and prosperity.

Through his speech of celebration, Narendra Modi congratulates all the Indian people on the festive and religious mood prevailing on the occasion of the Navratri festival.

Usually, there are a lot of devotees at Indian temples on the occasion of the Navratri festival, as it is the time for special prayers and ceremonies. Gujaratis and Maharashtrians take part in the Garba and Dandiya Raas dance, and some people in North India celebrate fasts and worship.

In addition to the significance of this festival in commemorating the victory of good over evil, the Navratri festival also symbolises the victory of the Divine Mother. Devotees observe fasts, sing hymns, and worship the goddess Durga.

Apart from being a religious event, Sharad Navratri is an integral part of Indian culture as well. The celebration highlights India’s traditions and faith.

While the nine days of Navratri are still continuing, people across the country are religiously celebrating the festival. PM Modi sends his best wishes on this auspicious occasion to everyone.
