As revealed by leaks on the import-export registry obtained by NBD forum, the Galaxy S27 Pro will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 which is rated as the best all-round performance. The more powerful version of the same processor, called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, is exclusive for the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Though the processors are planned to come out of the same 2nm production line, Extreme is expected to perform better in CPU, GPU, and AI workload.
That gap could become more apparent in graphically demanding tasks and high-end video recording. According to reports, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 has a more powerful Adreno 850 GPU than the regular chip, which is expected to contain an Adreno 845 GPU. The Extreme model is also said to be able to shoot 8K video at 60 frames per second (fps) compared to 30fps on the standard chip, but both should have a performance and efficiency bump compared to the 888.
The leaks also reveal the expected Galaxy S27 series The Galaxy S27 The likely Galaxy S27 could have a 6.3-inch display, while the Galaxy S27 Plus The new S27 Pro is said to have a 6.7-inch screen and the Galaxy S27 Ultra The Galaxy S27 Ultra might have a 6.9-inch screen and both Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus are expected to have a 6.5-inch display.. All four models are expected to have a minimum of 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
By opting to use a variety of Snapdragon chips, Samsung may have added a level of differentiation between the Pro and the Ultra, in both its price and performance. It might tempt more advanced users to go for the Ultra.
Samsung has not officially announced these specifications. The Galaxy S27 series is tipped for a 2027 launch, with more information on the processors, feature set, and price likely to leak out closer to the launch.
