In a concerning incident, an IndiGo flight operating on the Delhi-Goa route was forced to make an emergency landing in Mumbai due to a suspected engine malfunction. The flight, which departed from Indira Gandhi International Airport, experienced technical issues mid-air, prompting the pilots to divert the aircraft as a precautionary measure.

According to airline sources, the Delhi-Goa IndiGo flight engine failure was detected approximately midway through the journey. Preliminary reports suggest a technical snag in one of the engines. “A technical snag was noticed on flight 6E 6271 during its journey from Delhi to Manohar International Airport, Goa, on 16 July 2025. Following protocol, the flight was diverted and landed safely at Mumbai.”
The airline reassured that all passengers and crew were safe and the aircraft would undergo a complete technical inspection before being cleared for service again. IndiGo is making alternate arrangements to fly passengers to Goa.
