Medals kept coming India’s way during the 10th day of the Asian Games 2026 held at Aichi-Nagoya. Based on the latest medal tally on Day 10, India currently holds 39 medals, which are made up of 4 gold, 17 silver, and 18 bronze medals.
Out of four gold medals, three have been secured in the sports of shooting, cricket, and kabaddi.. India won its two gold medals in shooting in the mixed 10m air pistol event through Suruchi Singh and Kamaljeet, and the other gold medals came in women’s cricket and kabaddi for men and women.
Among India’s many medals that have won so far are 17 silver medals. These include the silver medal won by Esha Singh in the women’s 25m pistol, Yashvir Singh won a silver medal in men’s javelin throw, Murali Sreeshankar won a silver in the men’s long jump and Gulveer Singh won a silver medal in men’s 1500m, alongside winning a medal in the 10,000m.
India’s bronze medalists have also been from a wide variety of events. Rohit Yadav earned a bronze in men’s javelin, while Parul Chaudhary and Vithya Ramraj have each won bronze medals in athletics. Pincky Balhara also won a bronze medal in women’s -78kg kurash.
One sport that has proved to be very important for India in terms of medals has been shooting, which has produced many medals in individual, team and mixed team events. Athletics have also proved to be important, with many silver and bronze medalists.
Now that there are many more events left to go, India’s team will hope to get many more medals. In the medal chart, nations are ranked by their number of gold medals, which makes future finals very important for India’s ranking position.
