The month of October usually heralds an end of the monsoon season to dryer conditions in northern India. Nevertheless, there can be rainfall during this time of the year depending on the atmosphere’s weather condition and the passage of weather systems across the region. These rainfalls can cause changes in temperatures and humidity for a short while.
The rainfall experienced by the capital of Delhi is significant for its comparison to rainfall received during October in recent years. The showers provide temporary reprieve from the warmer conditions that people have been experiencing. Rainfall can also help in settling the dust in the air but this would ultimately depend on the weather conditions and the level of pollution in the region.
Weather conditions in North India are bound to remain variable depending on the locations in the region. The extent of further rainfall would depend on the current atmospheric conditions as well as forecast made by the IMD.
