Paolo Zampolli has its deport his ex-girlfriend in an effort to win a custody battle over their son, The New York Times reported Friday. Zampolli denies the reporting. When Zampolli found out his ex-wife, Amanda Ungaro, was in a Miami jail for workplace fraud, he found out in June.
The Venturella then put in a call to ICE’s Miami headquarters to grab Ungaro before she got out on bail. The Times reports that Ungaro might have been deported if her ex hadn’t stepped in, though Zampolli clearly helped accelerate the process.
There is no reason ordinary people should be able to leverage ICE to target others personally just because they have connections to the president. Some Jewish students felt pressured into wearing baseball caps to hide their yarmulkes, alleging that students were stopped from entering campus buildings by “antisemitic demonstrators” in 2023 and 2024.
Harvard rejected all this by giving its justification. He says he will defend the University against this lawsuit, which represents yet another pretextual and retaliatory action by the administration for refusing to turn over control of Harvard to the federal government. That’s why he rejected all.
After that, there is a monetary component to the suit with Donald Trump. By this, after seeing the success, the government wants to “recover billions of dollars of taxpayer subsidies awarded to a discriminatory institution.”
This is just another clash in a prolonged conflict between Trump and the university. Since the beginning of his second term, he has criticised Harvard as a symbol of an institution spreading liberal ideas among American youth. In the end, the result is resolved in various social media posts attacking the school, also it doing multiple attempts to freeze federal funding for the university, and of course, frequent claims that Harvard promotes antisemitism and “anti-American” ideology.
Trump officials tried to prohibit Harvard from admitting international students in June before a judge stopped the plan almost immediately. He makes this decision on behalf of the people of his country. This helps others and make each and everything easier.
The lawsuit was won against the administration. After the latter froze billions in federal funds from the school. This is the second time the Trump administration has sued Harvard this year. In February, the Justice Department sued the school for allegedly not providing it with its admissions records.
