Gold and Silver Prices Today, July 27: Latest Rates Across Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Other Cities

Some price increases in local bullion market have been noted especially in both gold and silver. This has happened due to increasing international prices of these two metals. Increasing demands on investments in safe havens have resulted from the existing political tensions in the country before the measures taken by US Federal Reserve monetary policy. 

Nonetheless, having in mind the current prices of gold bars, it may be known that the price of 24 carat gold is ₹1,44,010 per 10 grams in New Delhi, whereas the price of 22 carat gold is ₹1,32,009 per 10 grams. In the same manner, the price of 24 carat gold is ₹1,44,260 per 10 grams in Mumbai, and ₹1,32,238 per 10 grams in case of 22 carat gold. However, in Kolkata, the price of 24 carat gold is ₹1,44,090 per 10 grams, whereas the price of 22 carat gold is ₹1

Similarly, prices of silver have also been increased in accordance with gold. In Delhi, 999 fine silver is available at ₹2,24,320 per kg, ₹2,24,710 per kg in Mumbai and ₹2,24,170 per kg in Kolkata. It must be noted, however, that prices of silver are higher in southern cities like Chennai 

In the commodities market, the futures for gold at MCX was up by 0.5%, whereas MCX silver futures saw gains of about 1% in the morning session. Abroad, gold prices appreciated owing to a weakening U.S. dollar and oil prices, as investor demand for bullion increased, but traders remain on their toes until the policy statement by the Fed comes out later this week.

Gold dealers recommend that buyers should be aware of the movements in gold and silver prices each day before purchasing them, as the prices continue to vary with changes in the world economy, currency movements, duties for imports, and local demand. Prices for jewellery may vary depending on making charges and GST.
