Learning Spiral Hosts Insightful Webinar on Bridging the Skills-to-Jobs Gap with AWS Skill Builder

New Delhi, July 24, 2025:Learning Spiral and Observe Now successfully hosted a webinar titled “Bridging the Skills-to-Jobs Gap: Leveraging AWS Skill Builder” in an important effort to address the widening gap between academic education and employability. The Zoom event sought to investigate how academic institutions might effectively use cloud-based programs such as AWS Skill Builder to create industry-aligned, skill-first educational frameworks.

Mr. Manish Mohta, Managing Director of Learning Spiral and a strong supporter of educational reform, moderated the one-hour session. The conversation, which brought together eminent academic leaders from India’s top universities, focused on how educational institutions can transform into flexible platforms that equip students for challenges in the real world from the outset of their academic careers. One of the main themes of the event was the significance of incorporating AI & cloud fluency, digital certifications, and skilling into the curriculum.

Education needs to change from a degree-focused strategy to one that is outcome-driven and employability-led. According to Mr. Manish Mohta’s introductory remarks, “Programs like AWS Skill Builder offer not only knowledge but also practical pathways to future-ready careers.”

The event featured an esteemed panel of speakers, including Prof. (Dr.) Manpreet S. Manna, Vice Chancellor of Chandigarh University; Prof. B. S. Satyanarayana, Vice Chancellor of Dayananda Sagar University; Dr. K.B. Lingegowda, Vice Chancellor of Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education; Dr. Rajashekhar Biradar, Pro VC of Reva University; and Dr. Vivek Kumar Gupta, Registrar of Sharda University. Each shared institutional insights and underscored the urgency of integrating skilling and industry certification into mainstream academics.

The need for early exposure to real-world tools and technology, the growing gap between traditional curricula and industry requirements, and the function of faculty development in providing a tech-driven, outcome-based educational system were among the main topics of debate. The presenters also emphasized how platforms such as AWS Skill Builder provide educators and students with scalable and reasonably priced solutions.

The session produced a number of useful suggestions. These included creating virtual skill laboratories, launching faculty certification programs, revising the curriculum to incorporate cloud-based modules and micro-credentials, and testing AWS Skill Builder integration across multiple departments. The panel also emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships and EdTech industry cooperation in building a robust skilling ecosystem.

The webinar concluded with a shared consensus: academic institutions must move beyond degree delivery and position themselves as employability enablers. With its hands-on content, flexible learning pathways, and industry relevance, AWS Skill Builder was seen as a transformative tool for bridging the skills gap and preparing students for the jobs of tomorrow.
