The protest being led by Abhijeet Dipke under the platform of Citizens Justice Platform (CJP) continued in the heart of New Delhi at Jantar Mantar. The protesters are continuing to gather here in support of their demands and also trying to seek the attention of the authorities so that they address their grievances.
Abhijeet Dipke has once again said that the movement will remain peaceful and democratic because its objective is to facilitate dialogue and not confrontation. Speaking to his supporters, he has told that the entire exercise is meant to create more accountability on the part of the authorities concerned. The protestors are using placards, speaking and discussing to put forward their demands before the people as well as the policymakers.
The Jantar Mantar which is used as a venue for public demonstrations in the national capital continues to see the gathering of demonstrators in support of the cause. There are security forces deployed at the venue in order to ensure law and order and also to ensure that the demonstration remains peaceful. The movement of traffic near the venue continues to be normal.
A number of social activists as well as some people from the general public have also backed the protest, claiming that peaceful protests help in highlighting the importance of such activities in a democratic society as such demonstrations allow citizens to raise their voices. However, no statement regarding the demands of the protesters has been issued as of now.
During the course of the protest, the organizers have asked for more participation of people in the protest while asking those who are supporting the protest to remain disciplined and obey the law. It is hoped that increased public involvement would lead to fruitful talks between the government and the protestors.
The protest at Jantar Mantar is still continuing, and many developments can be expected in the near future.
