One of the two accused terrorists involved in the Bondi Beach terrorist attack in Sydney on December 14, 2025, Sajid Akram, did not return to his country in India even though his father passed away in India, as confirmed by the Indian police. He was originally from Hyderabad in India. He was shot dead in the terrorist attack.

  • Continued Indian Passport: Even though he has been living outside the country for many decades, Akram retains his Indian passport up to the point of the attack.

The Indian police have also made it clear that Sajid Akram had limited connections to India, and he had failed to return to his homeland despite his father’s death, which proves his distance from his family before the attack in the Bondi Beach terror incident. It has also been made clear by Telangana police that Sajid’s supposed radicalisation is not linked to any Indian influence, and his family is also unaware of any terrorist ideology. Although this is an unfortunate incident that took place thousands of kilometers away in Hyderabad, the government is assisting the central and international authorities. The current concern is trying to establish how the timeline of this accused, Akram, unraveled, and the factors that contributed to the horrible attack that took place.
