West Bengal votes in second phase of Assembly elections

The voting is now held. In the west Bengal, the voters are on its peak. It includes other department members, too. Also, so many candidates are counted in this. More than 1,448 candidates, including Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, are contesting across 142 constituencies. Voting will take place at 41,001 polling stations spread across eight districts.

Meanwhile, security arrangements have been significantly strengthened across the state, with nearly 2,400 CAPF companies deployed, according to Special Electoral Roll Observer Subrata Gupta. The voting is one of the sectors in this.
