The Galaxy S27 Ultra is getting a bit of attention with the appearance of a dummy unit online. The physical unit appears to have been made from previously leaked CAD files and gives a first look at what the phone may actually look like. There’s been a bit of a discussion on the forums as to what the S27 Ultra might be like and what it could bring to the table.

The dummy device (apparently put together by Android Headlines) has a completely reconfigured rear camera setup which is very different to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Rather than the current vertical array of cameras, the S26 Ultra appears to have a horizontal camera bar sitting higher up on the back. The design is also being compared to the camera bars on the other flagship phones. The device is said to be 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97mm, a little larger than the current S26 Ultra.

Another significant consideration is the new camera layout, which seems to leave extra room for magnetic accessories. With the camera bar shifted to the center of the device, there’s probably room for a magnetic wireless charger and battery packs. It’s not clear whether Samsung will add its own built-in magnets or keep supporting some of the existing cases with magnetic mounting points.

The dummy unit is said to have preserved the S Pen slot in the bottom edge, indicating that Samsung could carry on selling a stylus-equipped premium phone. Aside from the screen cut-out for the front camera, there are volume and power buttons on the side and a bottom-mounted USB-C port.

Following the design information, there are still a few key pieces of information that are yet to be unveiled. The dummy unit does not feature a working display, or battery; or any internal components, which will mean it cannot confirm the device’s true technicality.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra for the year 2027 is now not official yet. We hope to see the device announced early on 2027, but we will be on the lookout for a specific release date or any leaks and reports. The dummy (pictured here) is a glimpse of what we might see.
