A recent leak has hinted that the Samsung Galaxy S27 line-up might include battery capacity improvements for the Galaxy S27 Pro and the Galaxy S27 Ultra, several months before their expected release. The new flagship phones are set to arrive in the market and if the leaks hold true, the new devices will boast more battery capacity and thus provide an improved experience.
As reported in the information leak found on the internet, the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro will come with a 5,300mAh battery while the high-end variant of the Galaxy S27 Ultra is set to have a 5,700mAh battery capacity. This would be a step up from the previous Galaxy S26 lineup and it would address one of the most common demands of Galaxy users.
It appears that the increased battery capacity will be made possible with the help of the use of silicon-carbon battery technology by Samsung. In other words, the company will be able to put more battery capacity inside their products while keeping the size the same. Other phone brands have already started using such a technology.
With the increased battery capacity, it is said that Samsung will maintain the current charging speed. The Galaxy S27 Pro can reportedly support 45W wired fast charging, and the Galaxy S27 Ultra will remain the same charger as well. Despite the fact that other top-end smartphones now have charging speeds that exceed 100W, Samsung has always prioritized battery life and safety rather than super-fast charging.
In addition to the improved battery life, the Galaxy S27 series is set to get better in terms of cameras, AI abilities, and processors. It is reported that the upcoming smartphone series will use the next-generation Snapdragon chipset by Qualcomm in many regions, whereas others will get the latest Exynos processor by Samsung. Better AI abilities for taking pictures, productivity, and performance of the phone itself will be among other highlights.
However, just like any pre-launch leak, Samsung has yet to make an official confirmation about the rumored specifications. There are still a lot of changes that may happen before the unveiling of the smartphones.
