Another Wave of Storms Brings Heavy Rain and Flooding Threat to the East Coast Amid Intense Summer Heat -

The eastern part of America is bracing itself for yet another onslaught of harsh weather with an ominous combination of the summer heat wave, high humidity and slow moving weather systems likely to bring rain, flash floods and other severe weather. Forecasters are warning that the new storm could affect millions of people living in the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast states, with localized flooding being one of the most worrying threats.

The storm threat comes after days of unbearable heat with temperatures reaching up to the upper 80s and the 90s. The humidity levels have made things worse by making temperatures seem higher, with heat indexes going above 100°F in certain parts of the area, putting people under heat warnings.
